Class

For students in Grades K-2, this class is a wonderful way to introduce your child to the world of theatre, develop skills, and prepare for stage performances in a fun, nurturing environment. In this class, students improve motor-skills and flex their creative muscles through a variety of theatrical games and will learn a song and dance routine from musical theater.

For students in Grades 3-5, this class is a wonderful way to introduce your child to the world of musical theater, develop skills, and prepare for stage performances in a fun, nurturing environment.  

In this class, students receive 35 minutes of dedicated “triple threat” training in each of the musical theater disciplines: acting, singing, and dance! Every week students will explore monologues and scenes, songs, and dances from your favorite musicals. Each workshop's theme changes, so this class is repeatable, and over several sessions, students will learn about many diverse musical theater styles and writers.

Musical Theater Minis work with HITS instructors on vocal and dance routines from the age-old classical musical ANNIE, which are presented along with their scenes at a mini-showcase on the final day of class for family and friends!
