Students receive dedicated “triple threat” training in each of the musical theater disciplines: acting, vocal arts, and dance. Every day students will explore scenes, songs, and dances from the musical How I Became a Pirate.

Developed during the mid-twentieth century, Contemporary dance incorporate elements from many styles of dance and cultures. Contemporary dance tends to combine the strong but controlled legwork of ballet with aspects of modern dance including contract-release, floor work, and improvisation. Two famous Broadway choreographers of this genre are Lorin Lotarro (Waitress) and Sonya Tayeh (Moulin Rouge).
