Instructors and Guest Artist
Alric Davis holds a B.F.A. from Howard University with a concentration in Musical Theatre and Playwriting. He is an adjunct instructor at Stages Repertory Theatre’s Young Actors Conservatory, Rhodes School, Roderick Paige Elementary and the Founding Artistic Director of The Sankofa Collective (formerly known as The Bayou Theatre Company), a local nonprofit theatre organization in Houston. As a freelance director/choreographer/teacher in Houston, some of his favorite directing credits are The Wiz, Miss Evers Boys, Victor/Victoria, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, A Lesson in Physics, Passing Strange, Marie Antoinette and Next to Normal for The Sankofa Collective.
Adam is originally from Chesterton, Indiana, and is a graduate of the musical theatre department at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. As a non-profit consultant with expertise in film and performing arts organizations, Adam brings experience as an arts administrator, director, choreographer and songwriter to inspire young artists in the classroom. As an actor, he can be seen as Phil in the cult horror film, “Teeth,” and is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, the union for professional actors and stage managers. In 2018, Adam relocated to Houston with his dog, Chancho, to be near his mom and sister and serve as Artistic Director of HITS Theatre. Since arriving, he has revamped the curriculum and created several successful new programs. Recently celebrating one year at HITS, Adam hit the ground running with several directing credits including Mary Poppins JR., Movie Musical Live!, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas and Anything Goes.
Act well thy part. There all honor lies.” These words hold true to Tre Morgan Lewis. He serves as the Founding Executive Director of The Sankofa Collective, formally known as Bayou Theatre Company. Tre is also the Artistic Director of Houston’s first African-American Playwright Festival, Fade to Black. Tre Morgan has directed over 10 productions. Some of his noted productions are The Colored Series, Profiles of Blackness, Pecong, Black Nativity, Gems, and The Easter Story. He was nominated Best Actor for the role of Mister in the G.W. Carver’s 2013 production of The Color Purple by the Theatre Under the Stars’ Tommy Tune Awards committee. He has received over 8 UIL One Act Play Competition acting awards. He was most recently seen in TUTS’ 2018 fall production of The Wiz (Ensemble), directed by Broadway’s Robert O’Hara and Choreographed by Byron Easley. Some of his favorite performance credits are Miss Ever’s Boys (Hodman Bryant) at Pearl Theater, Best of Enemies (Bill Riddick) at Pasadena Little Theater, Men with Broken Hearts (Sammy) at Sam Houston State University. The Piano Lesson (Wining Boy) at Prairie View A&M University; Little Shop of Horrors (Mr. Mushnik), Ruined (Jerome Kisembe), Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (Cutler), The Wiz (The Wiz/Technical Director), Sweet Charity (Herman), The Darker Face of The Earth (Alexander), Dearly Departed (Junior) at G.W Carver Magnet High School.

Elizabeth Rodriguez Herrera is a 2020 High school graduate and is thrilled to be a part of the HITS family! She has been a part of multiple HITS productions such as Mary Poppins JR., Anything Goes, and Matilda. Elizabeth is passionate about musical theater and has studied at Music Academy International, Humphrey School of Musical Theatre, and HITS Theatre. Elizabeth is also skilled in media production and graphic design. Her most recent projects include partnerships with South Houston High School, La Iglesia del Pueblo, Houston’s American heart association, and the Humphrey School of Musical Theatre.
