Our Philosophy at HITS Theatre
Our key goals are to foster our students’ personal development as both performers and individuals, while continuing to produce quality shows. This is achieved by coupling a safe learning environment, professionally trained staff and positive encouragement in every class.
Whether a child shows interests in learning stagecraft and production or wants to improve skills in singing and acting, we guide students to pursue dreams in all aspects of the performing arts. Certainly, every player is important to pulling together a successful production. HITS is equipped with financial aid packages to help children of all backgrounds gain access to quality training in the performing arts.
Interested families are encouraged to read more about our classes and attend an upcoming show.
At HITS Theatre, our creativity thrives not only on accepting differences, but celebrating and supporting them for the benefit of our students, employees, products, and our community. HITS Theatre is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
“HITS Theater is one of the best organizations in our community. They offer such a wonderful creative outlet for the children in our area and give their participants the opportunity to learn many things that the education system has difficulty providing. HITS provides after school sessions at my son’s school, Field Elementary, and the program was a big hit with the students and parents. The kids enjoyed the creativity and non-traditional classroom setting as well as the opportunity to perform and show off their talents that get neglected during a regular school day. There was never a lack of enthusiasm from the teacher or the students because the program was the highlight of their day.
I am very grateful to have the opportunity to experience what HITS has to offer. My son has gained confidence and got to explore the many sides of his personality. It’s so nice to have such a great theater for kids in our community and for HITS to serve so many families. HITS is a true gem in the Heights!” – Patty McGrail
