How I Became a Pirate Musical Theater Workshop ZOOM Class (Grades 1-5)

Students receive dedicated “triple threat” training in each of the musical theater disciplines: acting, vocal arts, and dance. Every day students will explore scenes, songs, and dances from the musical How I Became a Pirate.  Sail off on a fantastic musical excursion with a band of comical pirates looking for an expert digger to join their crew. The style is built on African American vernacular styles of dancing that emerged with jazz music. Two famous Broadway choreographers of this genre are Bob Fosse and Jerome Robbins.
