We're reviving a successful HITS workshop where students learn material from a blockbuster movie musical in a challenging and fun environment. Students in 3rd-6th grade will recreate and re-imagine musical numbers from The Greatest Showman such as “This Is Me," “From Now On,” and “Come Alive.” The week culminates in a cabaret-style performance and a screening of the sing-along version of the film led by workshop participants!

Trained theatre actors often have difficulty transitioning to film acting. This class helps the stage-trained actor become comfortable and confident working on a film set. Students will explore the artistic and technical tools needed for professional film and television acting work and auditions. Among the subjects covered in this class are auditioning on-camera, rehearsing with your film director, acting in a master shot, medium shot and close-up shot, eye-line and emotions.
