Our Philosophy

During the class, the students learn singing, dancing and acting in a rehearsal situation. They receive scripts. They learn all the songs and work on many of the dance steps. After a short period of time, they are taught auditioning skills, and given a chance to practice those skills. Every student is cast in the production.  Each class performs a "Broadway-style" production onstage at the end of the session in front of a live audience. Performances are free and open to the public.

Auditions are judged on their willingness to try, their enthusiasm, the ability to take direction as well as how well they perform their the actual performance during the auditions. The class instructors also take into account their student’s behavior during the classes leading up to the audition, and improvement how far they have come since the first class. Each class finishes with a production onstage at the end of the session.

During the Fall and Spring sessions, classes meet twice a week for an hour or an hour and a half depending on the age group. Fall and Spring sessions offers two choices.  Choose from classes that meet on Mondays and Wednesdays or on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Our classes serve extremely talented kids, and kids with many years of training, as well as complete newcomers at all grade levels. There's no previous musical necessary to become a “HITS kid."
