Mark your calendars for two truly exclusive opportunities featuring Broadway star Kate Baldwin. Kate Baldwin is coming to us straight from Broadway as the lead in Finian's Rainbow. In addition to starring in a hit Broadway show, her first CD, "Let's See What Happens (Songs of Lane & Harburg)," was just released. Burton Lane and Yip Harburg are the authors of Finian's Rainbow. Be sure not to miss Ms. Baldwin before she heads across the pond to perform with Mandy Patinkin in a new play in London.
As a teen, Kate was coached by JoAnne Woodard, the Executive Artistic Director of HITS Theatre. She is generously donating her time to support HITS Theatre.

Come listen as our own JoAnne Woodard conducts an Inside the Actor's Studio type interview with Ms. Baldwin and find out what its really like to be on Broadway. Have a special question to ask? There will be time for questions at the end of the interview. This event is open to ages 10 and up and is especially geared for our rising stars at HITS.

Ms. Baldwin will be selling her new CD at each of the performances. She is available to autograph CDs purchased at these events.
About Kate Baldwin
For her starring role in the Encores! production of Finian’s Rainbow in the spring of 2009, KATE BALDWIN was hailed by The New York Times as “a discovery ... her rich, pure soprano riding the crests of the melodies with ease,” while Playbill christened her “our next, best, undiscovered musical comedy heroine.” She has also appeared on Broadway in The Full Monty, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Wonderful Town. Regional roles include Betty Haynes in Irving Berlin’s White Christmas in Toronto, San Francisco, and Detroit; Katharine in Henry V at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey; Nellie Forbush in South Pacific (Helen Hayes Award nomination) at Arena Stage; and Amalia in She Loves Me (IRNE nomination) at Huntington Theatre Company and Williamstown Theatre Festival. Most recently she released her first CD, "Let's See What Happens (Songs of Lane & Harburg)".
Kate is scheduled to appear in the new musical Paradise Found, co-directed by Harold Prince and Susan Stroman, expected to premiere in London at the Menier Choolate Factory on May 19, 2010 through June 26, with expectations for a transfer to Broadway. Mandy Patinkin is announced to star.
Kate graduated from Northwestern University. As a teen, Kate was coached by JoAnne Woodard, currently the Executive Artistic Director of HITS Theatre.
