A Note From the Artistic Director

At HITS Theatre, our goal is to create a fun and positive experience for all of our young actors. As a performance-based educational theatre, we try to make sure that every student sings and dances in a musical number in every show and has lines to say regardless of ability or experience. At the end of each production, every young actor should leave the show with a feeling of accomplishment and a sense of pride in their contribution to a wonderful performance.

With affirmations leading the way in each and every class and a strong sense of ensemble, our key goals remain to serve our students' personal development and growth as both performers and as individuals - and to continue to produce quality shows that everyone can enjoy!

I am inspired by all of our students. As an educator and director, I believe that every moment in our theatre space can be a moment of discovery, creation and collaboration. My teachers and staff continue to search for new ways to challenge our young artists in their work. Every class is an opportunity to challenge their limitations and explore ways to help them become better actors and people. Every student here at HITS is unique, with different challenges and strengths. We continue to help each and every student reach for personal excellence.

One just needs to watch one of our first- through sixth-grade classes work on their upcoming productions of CATS or our company of teens rehearse their production for the large stage at Miller Outdoor Theater to realize that we are transforming lives every day!
